Let’s Explore the Street Murals of Reykjavik

IMG_5897

They make a really great lobster soup in Reykjavik, Iceland. Yum. Another cool aspect I love about Reykjavik is all the amazing street art that can be found throughout the city. Not just your average city wall murals that you find in New York, but entire sides of houses and buildings are dedicated to street art.

Art-wise, walking through Reykjavik is like walking through a museum. Wall Poetry is behind a bulk of the amazing work; a collaboration between the music festival, Iceland Airwaves, and Berlin’s Urban Nation. The aim is to get creative minds from music and street art  to collaborate and “encourage artistic and creative exchange far beyond the inside of a gallery or the recording studio.

So, let’s grab a camera and explore the sides of buildings in Reykjavik.
