IMG_3791

As an artist, Mark Mothersbaugh has done it all. Sure, you might know him as the founding member of the legendary band DEVO – along with being a musical composer for such movies as: The Life Aquatic and the TV show: Rugrats. But Motherbaugh has also created a large body of work that include—paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, decorative arts, video, film, and performance—which often originates from his visual diaries of over 30,000 postcard-sized drawings.

Kind of impressive.

So where can we see this body of work. Well, if you’re in New York City, Grey Art Gallery NYU is showing a retrospective of his art. The show is called Mark Mothersbaugh Myopia – and it runs from April 26th – July 15th. In case you’re not traveling to New York City during those dates – here’s a little visual taste of the show.
